2019 — The realisation of 9%
Life around horses is filled with passion, action and hard work. Realising that only 9% of riders in Sweden were men, that hit deep.
2025 — Official launch
We can’t wait to hear what you think about our gear. All we wish for is to inspire more boys and men getting up and staying in the saddle.
2012 — The spark
The search for a men’s riding jacket ended fast. Peter left the store saying, “Half a shelf? Really?”
2021 — Birth of Nine & Above
Nine & Above was founded. Built on belief, not budgets. The years that followed tested everyone, but the mission stayed the same.

Horsemanship: The beginning and the end
Horsemanship is about true partnership, working with the horse in a way that prioritizes well-being and fosters harmony. Being part of our community means living by that rule. It’s simple, but non-negotiable.
The people behind Nine & Above are Peter, Calle, Selma and Matilda — a regular Swedish family on a mission. Cheered on by riders we’ve met along the way, men and women alike.
There´s a lot of great gear on the market. For women. And then that half a shelf´s worth of male apparel. Time to make a change and spice things up.
Nearly all our products are made in Europe. We design and manufacture close to you with the planet in mind. When we can make decisions that favour Mother Earth, we do. When we can’t, it means the option isn’t available or would severly affect quality.
We design for riders, not for cost. The seasonal sales game ain’t for us, the right price is set from the start. We’re far from the cheapest brand on the market, and that’s fine. Our no-shortcuts mindset is here to serve you better - in quality, longevity and value.
